Critics charge that Brigham Young blocked prosecution of those who committed the Mountain Meadows Massacre.
LaJean Purcell Carruth deciphered Brigham Young's presidential office journal (and other items) written in Deseret Alphabet. This newly discovered information makes it clear that federal prosecutors —not Brigham Young!—-are the most responsible for not not bringing the perpetrators to justice.[1] Thomas Alexander writes:
