Die Kirtland Egyptian Papers sind eine Sammlung von Schriftstücken, die von verschiedenen Personen geschrieben wurden und meist aus der Kirtland-Periode der Kirchengeschichte stammen (frühe bis mittlere 1830-er Jahre. Sie stellen eine Art von Studienunterlagen dar die einen Bezug zu den Papyri des Buches ABraham haben.
Die KEP umfassen 16 Dokumente mit einem gesamtumfang von etwa 120 Seiten. SIe weren normalerweise in zwei Kategorien unterteilt:
- Die sogenannten Dokumente zum ägyptischen Alphabet und zur ägyptischen Grammatik (KEPE) und
- den BuchAbraham Manuskript dokumenten (KEPA).

Das ausführlichste dieser Dokumente ist KEPE 1, welches ein intaktes gebundenes BUch ist, in dem 34 nicht aufeinander folgende Seiten beschrieben sind und 186 Seiten leer. Im Durchschnitt folgen 18 bis 20 leere Seiten auf drei beschribene Seiten.
