Gerste im Das Buch Mormon
Gerste war lange Zeit für Antimormonen eine Quelle der Heiterkeit. Ein Autor bestand zum Beispiel darauf: „Gerste wuchs niemals in der Neuen Welt, bevor sie der weiße Mann mitbrachte.” (Scott, 82)
Leider ist das einfach falsch. Seit 1983 kennt man Gerste aus der Neuen Welt.[1]
